Yuriy was first introduced to competitive dancing through the Genesis DanceSport Academy when he was just 11 years old. From day one he demonstrated the natural ability and competitive spirit necessary to succeed in DanceSport. In the years that followed, Yuriy proceeded to capture numerous titles at prominent dance events, quickly rising to the top of his age division nationwide. Innate dedication and the ensuing results provided Yuriy with an opportunity to train with world-class dance coaches, while travelling across the country and abroad.

Today Yuriy is one of the most sought after dance instructors Genesis DanceSport has to offer, known for his commitment to the art form and the studio, teaching versatility and desire to diffuse dancing to the masses. Yuriy instructs students of all different age groups and levels of experience, but his passion lies with training and mentoring young competitors.

When he is not at the Genesis DanceSport Academy imparting his knowledge on up-and-coming competitive dancers, Yuriy works for an Online Marketing agency. Concurrently with his dance-related accomplishments, Yuriy graduated from UC Berkeley with simultaneous degrees in Business Administration and Economics.
